Honey Kale Chips
My sister showed me this recipe for kale chips awhile ago and it’s become one of my weekly dinner additions. I love kale, but the salty-sweet combo just takes it to a new level. It’s a great addition to any dinner, and kids will love it because it tastes like candy!
I have this in grain bowls, pasta, soups, or just on its own. The crunch improves the texture of any softer dish, and the salty-sweet flavor combo blends well with so many things. Seriously, it goes with anything, and it’s super healthy for you too Enjoy!
Honey Kale Chips
Ingredients
1 head of green curly kale or lacinato kale
Olive oil
Sea salt
Honey
Instructions
Preheat oven to 325F.
Rinse the kale to remove any dirt.
Then, de-stem each stalk of the kale by pinching the base of the stem with one hand, and using your thumb and forefinger of the other hand to push the leaves up and away from the stem.
Take the kale leaves and place in a bowl. Drizzle with 2-3 tbsp olive oil, and use your hands to mix the oil into the leaves.
Place the kale on a tray lined with parchment paper, and sprinkle with sea salt. Then, drizzle the kale with honey (or maple or agave syrup, depending on your preferences).
Bake at 325F for 10-15 minutes, then remove from oven and enjoy.
